Payment Policy

  • Payment is due at the time of service.

  • We accept cash, cashier’s check, Zelle, and all major credit cards.

  • For larger treatment plans, our office can help develop an in-office payment plan.

Insurance Policy

At Narrative Dentistry, we strive to make quality dental care accessible. Out of courtesy, we can help patients submit claims if they have a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) dental plan. Please note that our office & providers are non-participating and out-of-network with all dental insurance companies. We suggest patients review & call their dental insurance directly to determine plan benefits & confirm whether out-of-network providers are accepted.

We are also a Medicare opt-out provider, which means we have chosen not to participate in Medicare billing. Instead, we work directly with our patients through a simple private agreement. For most dental care, this doesn’t change coverage significantly (since Medicare typically doesn’t cover routine dental services), but it does allow us to practice in a way that puts your needs first.

How Insurance Works at Our Practice

If you have a PPO dental insurance plan, we can help the patient submit claims to the dental insurance company, provided you have supplied our office with the accurate insurance information.

The patient is still responsible for the services rendered on the day of treatment. Once treatment has been completed, our office will provide the patient with information (dental codes, radiographs, narratives, etc.) related to the services to submit a dental claim.

Once the dental claim has been submitted by the patient, the reimbursement check, denial, and/or any correspondence will be directed to the patient. Please note that whether completed procedures are reimbursed is dependent on the dental insurance company & your specific dental insurance plan. .

Medicare Opt-Out

If you have Medicare, we cannot bill your Medicare insurance, and you are not able to submit claims to Medicare insurance for reimbursement because we are an opt-out provider. Medicare patients wishing to receiving treatment at our office will review and sign a private agreement between the office and the patient. This agreement basically states that patient is financially responsible for the services rendered at our office. This agreement is specific to our office. This does not affect your care and treatment with other Medicare providers.

  • Submitting a dental claim is not a guarantee of reimbursement or payment.

  • Every dental insurance company & plan is different.

  • Your dental insurance plan is a contract between you, the dental insurance company, & your employer (if applicable).
